Hot Tub Parts

Hot tubs are made of different parts that work together to ensure that the hot tub works properly and efficiently. Basically, hot tub parts include the heater, the control system, the pump and motor, the ozonator or ionizers, and the filter. All of these components can be purchased in a specialised spa shop or even online.

Hot tub heaters consist of the heater assembly and the heater element which are available in three major types; the electric, natural gas and propane models. The heater assembly is made up of pliant neoprene hoses, stainless steel tubes, and wall-penetrating tub ports. Meanwhile, the heater element consists of a complex network of metal tubes, most commonly copper, with heat-gathering lobes, in which a number of stainless steel burners heat them up.

The control system of a hot tub is the hot tub part which consists of the main control units, top-side controls and a timer. The main control units are the major control centre of a hot tub where processes such as heating and filtering are controlled. The top-side controls are located on the hot tub and are minor control systems where a push of a button alters the main control units and changes the settings of the hot tub. A timer sets the duration of which a hot tub heater heats, a hot tub filter filters, and a hot tub pump pumps.

In addition, a hot tub pump and motor are located on the interior of a hot tub or spa. The role of this hot tub part is to pump water into the hot tub before use and also to drain water from the hot tub after use.

Ozonators and ionizers are parts which often come together with any hot tub purchase but can also be purchased separately. These hot tub parts function to help in the removal of bacteria from the water in the hot tub.

Hot tub filters have quite similar functions as ozonators and ionizers. However, hot tub filters trap dirt and debris which are larger in size instead of microorganisms. With this, these filters are commonly used in the cartridge form. Hence, it can be seen that hot tub parts are essential to ensure hot tubs work properly as well as to ensure a wholesome spa experience.
