Hot Tub Lighting

A spa would not be complete without the proper hot tub lighting installed. In fact, different types of lighting installed would create a different night atmosphere, either for a relaxing feeling, or to create a romantic mood. With this, many types of hot tub lighting are available in the market, each of them designed to cater to preferences of different spa users.

One of the most common types of hot tub lighting would be the standard halogen spa lights fitted underwater and is powered by an 110V light bulb. These lighting are similar to those used in swimming pools and are fitted underwater. Additionally, there are also other underwater pool lights that change color automatically, such as the Spectrum Amerlight or SpaBrite.

LED lights are the next option for spa users. These lights allow for a colorful display of colors through a cluster of LED light bulbs install within one light. With this, spa users can then customize the combination of the clusters of light so as to create the desired light effect. Apart from that, the frequency of change can also be altered or changed according to individual preferences.

The third type of spa lighting would be fiber optic lights which create a colorful effect within the spa. Safe to use with superior performance, fiber optic lights illuminate the hot tub from within and can usually be installed within the perimeter of the spa. This type of light delivers more color through light traveling through fiber optic cables. Of course, synchronized fiber optic lighting is also possible so that a few color combinations can be created.

In the end, it is always advisable to engage a professional to install lights within your spa. This is because wrong light installations can result in electrocution especially for underwater lights. Water is a conductor of electricity and therefore any mistake in installation can be dangerous.
